BROMSGROVE School have reached the final of the NatWest Schools Under-18s Cup after winning a brutal contest with Oundle School 27-18 at Allianz Park.
Oundle had opened the scoring through Toby Warner, but prop Harry Ferguson replied with a try.
The Northamptonshire side regained the initiative through an Angus McRae penalty, but the Boars responded very well and hooker Henry Walker touched down for a try. Ben Curry then scored for Oundle as they edged into a 15-14 lead by the break.
Bromsgrove opened up more in the second half and Alex Nisbett finished off a fine move with a score.
They then extended their lead further through the boot of the magnificent Luke White, an effort which was soon cancelled out by a McRae penalty for Oundle. But the Finstall Park outfit grabbed the decisive score with a White penalty.
“They are a great bunch of lads, they work exceptionally hard,” said Bromsgrove rugby director Tony Windo.
