BROMSGROVE Sporting will begin the search for a new chairman after John Teece announced he was stepping down.
Teece was a key figure when the phoenix club filled the void left by predecessors Bromsgrove Rovers.
The 74-year-old will remain as a director retaining responsibility for finance, some commercial aspects and importantly maintain his relationship with the manager. The rest of his duties will be shared between the rest of the committee.
He said: "I think I am leaving at the right time.We have established the club despite inheriting a ground which was in a poor state and high rents.
"But now I feel the club is ready to push on, we don't need any more captial investment, have a good team, great fans and an excellent manager."
