BARNT Green continued their revival with a four-wicket win over Dorridge in the Birmingham League Premier.

The hosts won the toss and opted to bowl first and they kept the visitors from Warwickshire to 263-8.

Tom Brown (3-35) and Robert Wigley (2-34) were in good form, despite Mohammed Ishtiaq scoring 96 runs before he was caught by William Baker off the bowling of Andy Sutton.

Green may have lost Sam Cheshire for eight early on but Baker (40) and the in-form Ed Pollock (93) put together a 115 run second wicket partnership to put the hosts in the driving seat.

Matthew Lamb also bagged 70 runs as Barnt Green made 264-6 and secured a third positive result in the last five games.

Captain Andrew Sutton said: "It was a very good performance by the team. I thought anything less than 270 was not going to be good enough.

"William Baker was in good form and Ed Pollock does what he does, so I always thought we would get the winning total."

Green, who are eighth in the table, go to Knowle and Dorridge on Saturday (noon start).
