BROMSGROVE and Redditch AC’s youngsters braved the snow to compete in their first Midland Open competition of the year at the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham.

The club recorded a host of high finishes, and Sam Cater was in great form as he won the senior men’s discus, hammer and shot and came second in the javelin.
