BROMSGROVE Hockey Club's Men's first team secured a memorable 4-3 victory over top of the league Streetly on Saturday in West Midlands Division One.
After falling behind against the run of play, Bevan Edwards hit back for Bromsgrove with a brilliant run from deep.
Another well executed short corner saw Streetly pull ahead before Alex Jenkins levelled again for Bromsgrove.
The Boars continued to create chances, however, it was Streetly who gained the advantage, before Elliot Bennett took a well-crafted opportunity to equalise for a third time.
The match continued to be finely poised, before a sublime strike by Jenkins, who reverse-hit the ball into the roof of the net from a tight angle, finished of a counter-attacking move.
A solid performance all round, but it was goalkeeper Jed Parke who scooped the man of the match award following some quality saves throughout the game.
Captain Karl Troth said: “It was a close game and if we didn’t score the goals we did, we would have lost.”
