Littleton 5, Bromsgrove Sporting 6

CONNOR Collins bagged a late winner as Bromsgrove Sporting emerged triumphant in a thrilling clash to book their place in the final of the Worcestershire Urn.

Sporting showed a tremendous never say die attitude in a game where both teams exchanged the leads on several occasions.

The home side opened the scoring when Will Gayton raced into the box placing a well-taken shot wide of Sporting keeper Chris Jay.

Kyle Turner bagged a leveller in the 15th minute when he pounced on a stray pass.

Sporting edged ahead in the 33rd minute when Dale Edwards weaved his way in to the Littleton box fired a low shot that took a deflection and went past Whitcombe.

Little levelled early in the second half when Jamie Clarke took advantage of a mix-up by Jay and Brendan Kelly to knock home a loose ball.

The Rouslers’ advantage was restored three minutes later after Whitcombe parried shots from Sean Brain and Will Tibbetts but could do nothing about Brain's final tap in.

But the goals continued to flow and Kyonn Evans made it 3-3 from the edge of the box in the 62nd minute after picking up Nathan Heywood's excellent pass.

Littleoton then went 4-3 ahead six minutes later when Gayton’s fine cross allowed Clarke to fire home at the far post.

Sporting hit back and levelled in the 73rd minute. A good run by Brain caused havoc and his poorly cleared cross fell to substitute Connor Collins, who banged home through a crowded defence.

Littleton hit back again to edge ahead again when Doug Wallace found the back of the net with a low angled shot.

But Bromsgrove did not let their heads dropping during a dramatic clash and Nathan Walker’s deflected effort once again restored parity.

Sporting then completed the goal fest on 90 minutes again courtesy of a Will Tibbetts free-kick.

Littleton failed to clear and Collins picked up the loose ball and gratefully smashed it home for an amazing 6-5 away win.

So Sporting will play against either Alvechurch or Highgate United in the final, who contest the other semi-final on Thursday, February 25.
