AUSTIN Ex-Apprentices have been crowned champions of the Redditch and South Warwickshire Combination Premier Division with one game left to play after beating Black Horse 4-0 last weekend.

Andy Nicol scored his 43rd league goal of the season to help them on their way.

In Division One, Red Lion narrowly beat Redolence Park in a nine-goal thriller after being 3-1 up at half time.

Redolence fought back and with two minutes to go making the match 5-4 but could not take the game to a tie.

Elsewhere, Winyates Wanderers played out a 2-2 draw with Studley Railway.

Railway had the best of the first half and surged into a 2-0 lead at the break.

In the second half, Winyates stormed back with a superb display of determination and levelled through Matt Rowland and Marc Jovanovic.

In Group One of the Subsidiary Cup, South Redditch thrashed Royal Oak Alcester 10-1 with four goals by Darren Gaffney and three from Aaron Brouch.

In Group Two, Lodge Park beat VKL Utd 3-0 and in Group Three Beoley Village saw off Millfield Rovers 3-2.
