BARNT Green Sports Club’s men’s tennis teams have been in action over the last week.
Last Sunday the Men’s A team went to Belbroughton to take on their A side and came away with a 4-2 victory.
The first pair of Paul Cowie and James Flynn continued their winning start to the season with two straight-set victories against the first and second Belbroughton pairs.
Barnt Green's second pair of Paul Bill and Paul Gordon beat the third team but lost heavily against the first pair.
The third pair of James Hodges and Chris Linsell also beat the Belbroughton’s third pair and were unlucky against the seconds losing a close three-set match.
The Men’s B tennis team played at Boughton C on Wednesday and got their second successive 6-0 win.
First pair of Martyn Langston and Linsell dispatched the opposition easily while Paul Gordon and Simon Cowie were pushed in the one rubber but came out on top in the end.
The third team of Dave Taylor and Darryn Warner was equally effective winning their two rubbers easily.
Barnt Green Sports Club are holding their open day from 10am on Saturday.
