Pershore 33 v 24 Kings Norton

Although losing this exciting game Kings came away holding their heads high with at least another four-try bonus point having recovered from a first half 14 point deficit.

Pershore took the lead after five minutes with a converted try and Kings replied nine minutes later when Ed Fogg crossed the line and converted his own try.

The teams were well matched but midway in the half Kings lost their concentration for a five minute spell when the home side scored three quick tries, two of which were converted. Sam Back managed to cross for an unconverted try after 28 mins to narrow the score to Pershore 26 Pts V Kings Norton 12 Pts Despite strong home pressure the half finished without further scores.

Things looked ominous for the visitors when Pershore began the second half as they had begun the match with an 8th minute converted try but their Hopwood visitors dug deep and fought themselves back into the game. 5 minutes later Alex Styliano crossed after breaking several tackles with his strong drive to the line which Foggy converted. Spurred on Kings narrowed the points gap further after 20 minutes play when centre Pete Crompton made a strong run through Pershore’s defence to score close to the posts with Foggy making no mistake with his conversion attempt.

Although Kings finished strongly they were unable to add to their score.
