HIGH-flying Fairfield Villa booked their place in the President's Cup semi-final with a convincing 4-0 win over Midland League Division Two strugglers Continental Star.

Villa took charge from the word go with strikers Adam Ricketts and Connor Collins going close on numerous occasions before Dan Wilkes finally put them in front.

Full back Alex Dugmore then charged forward to convert a Collins cross to fire Villa 2-0 ahead at half time.

Ricketts finally found the net late in the game before Wilkes added his second goal to seal a commanding victory.

Villa spokesman Paul Oakes said: "It was simply a case of how many goals we could score and perhaps we should have got more as we took our foot off the gas for a period in the second half."

Villa must visit Coton Green in the semi-finals at a date still to be arranged while Alvis and Barnt Green Spartak contest the other semi-final.

Villa have no fixture this Saturday but the management will still be out in force, running the rule over some of their title rivals.
