DROITWICH women's B team secured their Herefordshire and Worcestershire Winter Tennis League Division Four East status with a deserved 4-0 home win over Cutnall Green B.
The mother-and-daughter duo of Kate and Margaret Hughes won 6-1, 6-0 and 6-0, 6-1.
Caroline Brookes and Sue Webber picked up a 6-2, 6-1 victory before working hard to triumph 6-3, 5-7, 7-6.
The women's E team lost 3-1 at home to relegation rivals Bromsgrove F.
Hazel Briggs and Eileen Probyn-Skinner put in two hard-fought performances but lost 6-4, 5-7, 7-5 and 7-5, 6-2.
Julie Rhodes and Alison Whiteman impressed to win 7-5, 6-1 before going down 6-3, 6-3 but the team appear to have done enough to stay in Division Nine East.
The men's A team were unlucky to end up with a losing draw as they ended their winter season at Bromsgrove A.
Matt Baker and Lee Cowan were pushed to their limits but grabbed a 3-6, 6-2, 7-6 victory and a comfortable 6-2, 6-3 win.
However, Mark Jones and James Nam lost 6-2, 3-6, 7-6 and 6-4, 6-0.
With the match level on matches and sets won, Bromsgrove got the winning draw by 47 games to 46 but Droitwich A did enough to remain in Division One for another winter.
The summer season kicked off in style at Droitwich with the men's E and F teams playing each other in Division Nine East.
Johnathan Carter and Daniel Ballard of the E side continued their fine form by picking up a 6-1, 6-2 win against Steven Whittaker and Max Rhodes and a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Martin Adams and David Hughes.
Adams and Hughes enjoyed the only victory for the F team 6-3, 4-6, 7-6 against Mark Venables and Phil Woodhouse who responded well by beating Roger Satherthwaite and Kevin Pollard 6-2, 6-3.
Richard Probyn-Skinner and Steven Good continued their fine form from the winter with a 6-2, 6-2 triumph over Satherthwaite and Pollard before a 6-1, 6-1 win against Whittaker and Rhodes sealed a 5-1 success for the E team.
The men's B and C teams also played against each other in Division Four East.
Joe Maidment and Ian Bowman produced two solid displays for the B side as they defeated Kevin Hodges and Bob Smith 6-0, 7-5 and Ben Steel and Neil Bates 6-2, 6-3.
Rich Clive and John Moran came through two tight sets to beat Steel and Bates 6-4, 6-4 before a solid 6-2, 6-1 win over David Lamb and Ricky Hollander.
Lamb and Hollander won 3-6, 6-3, 6-2 against Nick King and Eric Cartelet who lost to Hodges and Smith 6-3, 2-6, 3-6 as the B team triumphed 4-2.
