CHAMPIONS Alvechurch will have no time to rest of their laurels despite wrapping up the Midlands League title this week with a resounding 3-0 win over Rocester.

Church boss Ian Long will have his players back in full training next week as there is still some unfinished business to be completed.

Long is determined to end the campaign with a league and cup double and insisted: "I really want to win the League Cup as well. It's the No .1 priority at the moment."

Long, who together with his assistant Richard Colwell, signed a new two year deal with Church, expects to have his players firing on all cylinders when they meet Leicester side St Andrews in the Polymac Packagaing League Cup Final on May 15.

Long wasted little time in getting some of his players signed up for next season and has already agreed deals with Andy Parsons, Dave Bellis, Ryan Winwood and Tom Turton.

He will be speaking to further players throughout the week, he said: "We've just won the league, so I expect all of my players to be in demand at the moment, so it is very important that we keep the majority of players together.

"I do expect one or two players to go out and they will need replacing".

A second half brace of goals from Danny Dubidat plus another from Josh March, his 32nd league goal of the term sealed the points against Rocester.

Church also have a JW Hunt semi-final to play on Wednesday May 4 against Sporting Khalsa which takes place at AFC Wulfrunians ground in Wolverhampton (7.30pm).
