Avoncroft ease to victory over Astwood Bank thirds
IMPRESSIVE Avoncroft ambled to an easy eight wicket win over Astwood Bank thirds in Worcester County League Division Three.
The Bank were bundled out for 120 in the space of 32.2 overs after Jonathan Hunter with four for 39 and Mark Wood who claimed two for 16 off seven overs caused most of the damage.
Avoncroft raced to a winning 121 for two in reply from just 23 overs, wicketkeeper Sam Hughes leading the charge with 44 not out, while David Anson added 20 and Craig Hughes 32 not out.
Avoncroft entertain Himley thirds this Saturday.
