DROITWICH put the scoreboard into overdrive thanks to 124 from Ash Fearnall after a run glut in their first two Worcestershire Cricket League Division One fixtures.

Spa rattled up 311-6 at Pedmore after being invited to bat.

Fearnall shared stands of 90 and 121 with Max Young and Jez Hanson respectively with the latter notching 83 not out.

Pedmore started well before Max Young broke through.

Spinners Martyn Davies and Jake Young picked up key wickets as Pedmore finished on 250-8 to give Spa a winning draw ahead of Saturday's home clash with Redditch.

The seconds went top of Division Two with a third win, beating Lye by 49 runs.

Martin Woodward took 3-36, Karl Goddard 2-26 and Carl Thomson 3-6 as Lye fell for 129.

Thomson earlier struck 36 after Tom Gregory's solid 48 in Spa’s 178-8.

There were five ducks as the thirds were shot out for 99 in pursuit of Stourbridge's 226.

The fourths had a losing draw at Stourbridge with Peter Gurr taking 4-30 and scoring 45 in a total of 131-8 in reply to 212-7.

The seconds go to Netherton on Saturday while the thirds and fourths play Enville.
