WORCESTERSHIRE Virtue Empire attracted Midlands teams and top players to their largest dodgeball tournament.

Three Virtue sides out of the five involved finished in the top three.

The under 14s teams claimed first and second places in their outdoor cage tournament.

Virtue adults' A side were first in their indoor tournament play-offs, advancing to the semi-finals, after starting with a 10-0 win over the club's C outfit.

They beat Birmingham Dynamos 6-4 but fell 6-4 to Leicester Minotaurs B.

But Virtue A bounced back with a 10-0 victory over their B team to secure first place.

Their momentum ended in the semi-finals with a 6-2 loss to Leicester Minotaurs A to finish third overall.

Virtue’s B and C teams gained valuable tournament experience but could not advance to the knockouts.

Virtue also entered the DodgeHub International Open in Derby, finishing second during their round-robin division.

In their first international tournament most of their players were under 16 and up against adults.

They lost to England Premier League teams Lutterworth Meteors, Leicester Minotaurs, Manchester Bees and Derby Phantoms in the play-offs.

Virtue then defeated Carmarthen Wizards 9-5 and lost 7-5 to Leicester Minotaurs seconds in their division.

The club are looking for new members in Worcester, Droitwich, Bewdley and Kidderminster.
