FOUR Kazoku-Kan competitors attended the Samurai orange belt and under judo competition.

Molly Charlwood was top performer for the Droitwich club with a silver medal and Joshua Warburton also impressed to gain a bronze.

James Worsfold put up a great effort against bigger opponents with more experience and grabbed a bronze.

Felicity Warburton faced stiff competition and despite suffering an injury did well enough to get bronze as well.

Instructor Rich Morrish said: “They are doing a fantastic job at these competitions, representing themselves, their parents and the club to the very best standards. We couldn’t be prouder of them.”

James Harrison and Luke Phillips represented Worcester Judo Club to win gold and silver medals respectively.

Eleanor Warburton, Charlwood and head instructor Robert Alloway all went to Mierlo, Holland, for the 22nd Houvast International after winning gold medals at the nationals in March.

Alloway also competed at the Northern Ireland open against dan grades and won his first contest with a spectacular throw before narrowly missing out in his second for seventh place overall.
