LUKE Phillips was a golden boy for Droitwich's Kazoku-Kan Judo Club at the Samurai orange and under competition.
He secured victory in his under 38 kilogram category in Kidderminster.
Molly Charlwood, Eleanor Warburton and Robert Alloway made the longer trip to Mierlo, Holland, for the 22nd Houvast tournament.
The girls faced brown belts and dan grades with Charlwood seventh in the over 55kg section and Warburton ninth in the over 65kg.
Alloway also placed seventh in his category involving the under 70 and 66kg competitors.
At the London Open Alloway earned fifth place in a tough competition, showing determination and skill.
He then tackled the High Wycombe masters tournament and beat an Irish opponent in extra time to book a final place.
Despite losing to a shoulder throw to his Ealing rival Alloway walked away with a silver medal.
Kazoku-Kan instructor Rich Morrish said of the younger players: "Watching these kids progress and succeed in a sport that commands respect from its competitors is such a joy.
"We are so proud of how far they have all come in such a short space of time."
