BROMSGROVE Sporting boss Paul Smith used the club's end of season trip to Benidorm to sign up some more players for next season.

Skipper and central defender Craig Jones together with Reece Hewitt have both committed themselves to another season with the Rouslers.

Smith already had Ahmed Ali, Aaron Roberts and Sam Wills tied down for next term along with striker Jason Cowley who is currently on contract.

Sporting are due to face Bromsgrove Rugby Club in cricket match hosted by Bromsgrove Cricket club at St Godwolds Park on June 15 with the players reporting back for training two days later.

Smith accepts the early return to training hasn't proved a popular decision with the players, but he hopes to seal some more signings at the cricket match.

Sporting have also confirmed their line-up of pre-season friendlies that comprise of away trips to Chelmsley Town on July 5, Romulus, July 8, Paget Rangers July 12, Redditch United, July 15 and Alvechurch, July 18.

Sporting then stage two home fixtures at the Victoria Ground against Wolves Sporting Community on July 22 and then Leamington on July 29 before rounding off the pre-season programme with a trip to Stratford Town on Tuesday August 1.
