BROMSGROVE student Beck Cutting has been called up to England Rugby's Under 18s' 26-man squad for their three-match tour in South Africa this August.

Cutting, a pupil at Bromsgrove School, will be joined in the squad by Worcester Warriors teammates Ted Hill, Nick Rigby and James Scott who have all been training hard in pre-season alongside Warriors' first-team stars.

All four youngsters played together in Warriors Under 18s' impressive run in last season's Premiership Rugby Under 18 Academy League, where they defeated Saracens at Finals Day.

England face South Africa Schools in their opening fixture on August 11 in Cape Town before a match against Wales four days later. John Fletcher's side then finish their campaign against France in Stellenbosch.

Coach Fletcher said: “We've chosen a strong, talented group and we will only focus on ourselves, the skills and principles that we think are important for this age group within our pathway. We're really looking forward to spending time with the players; it's important for us coaches to get to know them both on and off the field.”
