FAIRFIELD Villa are hopeful of adding experienced Loz Martin to their squad this week following a friendly fixture against Worcester based Sunday side Drakes Broughton.
Rubery based Martin who has featured for a number of Midland League sides including Pilkington, has been unable to play Saturday football for a couple of seasons but is now keen to get back involved.
It's hoped Martin's arrival will compensate for the loss of central defender Gareth Hodgetts, who arrived at Villa from rivals Redditch borough - but has since been snapped up by Pershore Town.
Villa entertain Midland League One side Brocton this Saturday before commencing their Midland League Two programme with a trip to Earlswood Town on August 12.
That will be followed by home games against Redditch Borough and Smithswood.
