DROITWICH Spa drew their first Midland League Division Two game of the season to start their ground-share with Stourport Swifts.

Relegated Pelsall Villa held the promotion-chasers 1-1 at Walshes Meadow as the visitors enjoyed more possession and the better chances.

Spa's top scorer last season Nick Seabourne suffered a broken ankle when he landed awkwardly but Macauley Finch fired them ahead on 25 minutes.

Midfielder Jack Allerton was also injured and Pelsall deservedly equalised on 71 minutes through Nathan Stone.

Spa had opened their season with a 5-1 victory at Bloxwich Town in the Les James Challenge Cup first round.

Seabourne, James Lemon (2) and Haydn Morris (2) scored for Spa who visit Coton Green on Saturday (3pm).

Worcester Raiders won 4-2 at Telford Juniors in West Midlands League Division One to follow up a 5-2 beating of Wyrley.

Raiders, without a league game this weekend, netted through Matt Tyler, Anthony Smith and Richard Smith (2).

Malvern Town have started the West Midlands League Premier Division season with three straight wins.

Their 5-2 weekend victory at Wellington Amateurs was followed by a 3-2 home success over Wednesfield.

Town, who visit Dudley Sports on Saturday (3pm), scored through Josh Weatherby and Matt Turner (2).

Turner also netted twice at Wellington alongside Shaun Smith, Weatherby and Harry Wickett.
