ALCESTER Town attempt to get their promotion prospects back on track this Christmas after being stuck on the sidelines without a game for the past fortnight.
The Town entertain second placed Bartestree this Saturday in a crunch Midland League Division Three fixture before travelling to Enville Athletic on December 30.
With GNP Sports running away with matters at the moment having won all 10 of their league games to date, Alcester boss Danny Janes is under no illusions about the game with Bartestree.
He said: "It's crucial for us in terms of points. We have dropped points in our last two games and as a result, we are fighting for third spot along with Bartestree.
"I am not only looking for a result against Bartestree, but a performance that justifies the quality of players we have within the squad."
Key player Jamie Bailey looks set to return from a calf injury while Matt Fearon is set to make his debut and Max Crisp gets his first taste of playing at home.
