FECKENHAM failed to book their place in the Worcestershire Junior Cup final this week after suffering a 3-1 defeat at home to Droitwich Spa.

Nick Seabourne netted Spa in front after heading past Millers goalkeeper Josh Goddard on 14 minutes.

Feckenham fought back to level just before half time when Jack Brimmell vollied home after capitalising on a long range throw from Jake Donnelly.

Spa responded and Mark Burrows scrambled his side back in front early in the second half.

Feckenham came close to repairing the damage when Umit Eminoglu had an effort blocked on the line before it was cleared for a corner.

It could have been a different story when Donnelly saw a late effort cannon back off the post.

Spa had to wait until the 89th minute to seal the tie when James Lemon was set free to slot home beyond Goddard's reach.

Feckenham can make amends this week when they entertain Hampton FC in the President's Cup semi-final at the Entaco, Studley Sports and Social Club.

There was better news for Feckenham's reserve side who reached the Worcester Minor Cup final following a convincing victory over Inkberrow reserves.
