BROMSGROVE School's Siena Horton covered herself in glory when representing England in a three match hockey series against Ulster.

Siena was competing for England under-16's at Lilleshall National Sports Centre where she made an immediate impact.

She was awarded the Player of the Match prize following England's opening game which they won 2-1.

As a result, Siena was then asked to captain the side as they went onto win the remaining matches 4-0 and then 4-1.

Siena, who also plays for Stourport Ladies' national league side, will continue to train with England over the next couple of months at St Albans when she will be hoping to win selection for forthcoming matches against Germany at Bisham Abbey at the end of June before travelling to play against Belgium in July.

Siena is also bidding to be included in the England squad that features in the prestigious six nations event taking place in Ireland during mid-July.
