FORMER Bromsgrove Sporting boss Paul Smith is back in football as joint manager of Highgate United.
Smith, who resigned as Sporting boss last season, will be sharing the managerial duties at Highgate with Ash Pulisciano, who is also chairman of the club.
Busy Smith has brought in one-time Rugby Town manager Martin Sockett as his assistant together with his former Bromsgrove Sporting goalkeeper Chris Jay.
Also helping Smith on his backroom staff will be former Studley manager Lee Adams.
Smith said: "Highgate United is a good fit for me at the moment. They only just missed out on promotion from the Midland League last season after battling it out with Coleshill Town for second place.
"I understand that most of last season's players have agreed to remain with Highgate, so there's no major work required there. But I will be bringing one or two players with me as well."
