BATTLING Bromsgrove thirds remain well clear of the relegation zone in Worcester County League Division Three despite suffering a slender two wicket reverse against Harborne.

It looked as though Bromsgrove would be bowled out for a below par score until Will Tuffin and Rob Law led a late order revival.

Tuffin, who was batting at number nine, struck a splendid 60 not out and found support from number 10 Law who added 47.

The pair took Bromsgrove to a much more acceptable 263 all out but Harborne made it home in reply on 267 for eight with nine balls to spare.

Jon Boukhubza blitzed 89 in the face of some fine bowling from Henry Marshall who finished with figures of four for 42.
