BROMSGROVE Sporting boss Brendan Kelly could have a late signing up his sleeve ahead of Saturday's historic trip to AFC Dunstable.

Kelly is still keen to add another striker to the Rouslers' ranks, especially as Richard Gregory continues to be a cause for concern.

Gregory suffered an injury during the friendly fixture with Halesowen Town and Kelly confirmed: "We're still not sure whether it's either a back or rib injury, Whatever it is, it's not right and Richard may need another x-ray to assess the damage. At the moment it's only 50-50 whether he will play but the injury is causing Richard some discomfort".

Kelly is trying to conclude a deal with former Barwell striker Ryan Nesbitt but also has frontrunner Ashanti Pryce on board who has featured for Mansfield Town Under-21s and Solihull Moors Reserves.

But Kelly was quick to stress: "I'm not desperate. I have this iron in the fire, but at the moment, it's an option".

Kelly has also completed the signing of left sided central defender Harry Higginson on duel registration with Kidderminster Harriers.

The youngster could well feature at Dunstable but won't be able to play in the FA Cup.

Busy Kelly claimed: "I've got cover for every position. I just can't wait to get started now. It's been a long time coming and frustrating for the players when everybody else seems to be playing.

"Make no mistake, Dunstable is a tough start. They reached the play-offs at Step 4 last season so it should prove a good yardstick".

The Rouslers rounded off their pre-season programme with a 3-2 success over Evesham United.

It followed a 3-0 defeat against Rushall Olympic and Kelly said: " It was important that we beat Evesham because some people thought the defeat to Rushall might have derailed the troops.

"We had more of the ball against Rushall, but without Richard Gregory, I thought we were light up top.

"But the score against Evesham was a fair reflection and in truth, we should have scored more".

The Rouslers return to the Victoria Ground on Tuesday when they entertain Kidlington.
