BROMSGROVE got back to winning ways with a superb 8-2 victory over Pershore in West Midlands Division One.
Julian Court's side suffered a double setback in the last fortnight, with two defeats following their blistering start to the season.
But a hat trick for Bruce Turner, braces for Ashley Clarke and Paul Yates, and a goal for Matt Russell put them back in the hunt for promotion.
However, the win came at a price as skipper Court hobbled out of the game after two minutes after twisting a knee. He is now expected to miss Saturday's clash with rivals Droitwich.
But Court praised his side's performance and believes they could have won by a greater margin.
"Our passing and movement was fantastic," he said.
"We were just as fluid at the start of the second half. But then we took our foot off the gas a bit."
Captain Alistair Shaw scored five goals as Bromsgrove seconds won 6-2 over Old Wulfrunians.
Carl Trough added the other strike in the much needed win.
Bromsgrove Ladies' unbeaten run came to an end when they suffered a 1-0 defeat against Harborne on Saturday. It was a classic game of two halves with Harborne outplaying Bromsgrove in the first half.
It took some superb defending by player of the match Kirsty Gormley and Justine Postones to keep Harborne from swamping Bromsgrove.
But Harborne only managed one goal which deflected off Heather Nunnerley's stick.
However, the second half saw a marked improvement from Bromsgrove. Tricky Burton, Ange Gibson and Chrissie Ashworth all went close.
But, for the first time this season, Bromsgrove failed to score.
The ladies seconds also failed to score but picked up a hard earned point with a 0-0 draw against Harborne. However, both sides created lots of scoring opportunities. For Bromsgrove Bernie Mackie was outstanding in goal, ably supported by Jules Hughes and Sian Hunt. At the other end Libby Joss and Lucy Taylor had good opportunities saved by the Harborne goalkeeper.
