GILL Cliff of Bromsgrove Indoor Bowling Club has become national singles winner.

She won the title after playing six rounds in the area and four at the national finals at Kempston Bowling Club, Bedford, defeating Annette Hallett from Dorchester 21-17.

The victory was all the better as her opponent Hallett was the 2009 English Champion of Champions.

Bromsgrove Indoor Bowling Club welcomes prospective players from eight to 80 who want to try the sport.
