DROITWICH Dolphin Ruth Hadley set a national qualifying time at the West Midlands Swimming Championships.

Over the space of two weekends, the 14-year-old competed in the 100-metre and 200m freestyle and backstroke events, along with the 200m individual medley and 100m butterfly.

She landed four top-eight finishes and broke six club records in the process, with her best result coming in the 200m backstroke where she set her national time.
