Gaudet duo reach final

TWO Gaudet Luce Golf Club youngsters are heading for the finals of the Abraham Trophy.
Alice Brooks, aged 13, and 14-year-old Phoebe Stanley have qualified for the national final of the tournament to find England’s most improved golfers.
They will join 19 other finalists for the title at Delamere Forest Golf Club on Sunday. The Abraham Trophy immediately precedes the English girls’ U13 and U15 championships on the same course. Stanley will go on to take part in the U15 championship from July 31 until August 2.
Results — Ladies Green Lamb Stableford: 1 Claire Pearsall 32pts (c-b); 2 Theresa Porte 32; 3 Anne Frazier 30.
Ladies Stableford: 1 Jane Weir 37; 2 Jane Cahill 29; 3 Jenny Hartley 28.
