DROITWICH under-14s came desperately close to winning the North Midlands under-14 Plate Final, but were edged out by a single point against Whitchurch.
Ryan Boone slotted a penalty to give them the lead while Alex Bradnick scored in the corner to extended their advantage.
But Whitchurch hit back with a try under the posts.
Bradnick added another before Whitchurch added a try and a conversion to earn a 13-12 victory.
