Boars win Stourbridge tournament
BROMSGROVE under-16s capped an impressive run of form with victory at the Robert Bick Memorial 10s rugby tournament held at Stourbridge RFC. Bromsgrove arrived in confident mood, unbeaten in six games in March and April.
In the qualifying rounds they eased past Ledbury 34-0 and hosts Stourbridge 12-0 before facing local rivals Kidderminster in the final. Determined to make up for an earlier loss in the season Bromsgrove touched down twice in the first half with tries from Callum Angel and Joe Kings before Kidderminster replied with a try of their own.
The second half saw a fight back from Kidderminster before victory was sealed with a well worked move, clinically finished by Lewis Davies on the right wing.
