MATTHEW Lamb has had his talent with both bat and ball recognised, after being made captain of Warwickshire's under-12s side.
The 11-year-old Catshill Middle School pupil, who plays club cricket for Barnt Green was first selected for the county as a nine-year-old and impressed as a pace bowler and middle order batsmen.
He captained the county's under-11 side to victory in all but two of their fixtures last season, scoring three half-centuries.
