AN under-strength Rubery Ladies side were given a footballing lesson as they crashed to a 7-0 defeat against Kingshurst at Bay Tree Farm on Sunday.
Rubery, who had been without a game for six weeks, had only 11 fit players and with full back Nicola Wilkinson carrying an ankle injury, it was always going to be an uphill battle against unbeaten Kingshurst.
Jodie McDonagh scored the first of her four goals after just five minutes, unleashing an unstoppable shot from the edge of the Rubery area.

Further strikes from Domonique Benjamin, Kayleigh Poole and another from McDonagh gave the visitors a comfortable 4-0 lead at the break.
Rubery abandoned their passing game in the second half for a more direct style, playing the ball out wide for wingers Emma Cope and Kylie Owen to chase.
Kingshurst held firm despite a mini onslaught, and scored a fifth when McDonagh calmly slotted home past Laura Bromley in the Rubery goal.
Within minutes a speculative lob caught the home defence flat footed to let McDonagh through for her fourth and Kingshurst's sixth.
In an air of desperation, Rubery brought Bromley into attack for the final 15 minutes.
Despite some brave saves from stand in keeper Katy Horton, Kingshurst wrapped up the game with a fine solo effort from Poole.
