NINETEEN helms from twelve clubs entered the Barnt Green Sailing Club Solo Open Meeting on Saturday.
Chris Brown (RYA) lead throughout the first race, while Stuart Hydon (Shustoke) lost his second place to Colin Newton (Staunton Harold), and Bob Suggitt (Barnt Green) held fourth.
The wind for the second race shifted to the east to provide better beats and faster planning.
However, Brown, Hydon and Newton led the fleet for the whole race taking first, second and third.
The final race was sailed in sunshine and with Brown already the overall winner, this enabled Hydon to lead from Newton, while Suggitt was always looking secure in third place.
Last week also saw the start of the Wednesday evening early Pursuit Series at Barnt Green Sailing Club.
