BROMSGROVE'S Senior Men started their season with a win at Wyre Forest Golf Club.
After a hard-fought contest played in terrible conditions of gales reaching 70-80 mph, Bromsgrove managed to reverse last year's result with a 3.5 games to 2.5 win.
The team continued their winning start to the season with a fine 3.5-2.5 away win at Little Lakes.
Bromsgrove Golf Club started their 2008 campaign in the Birmingham Alliance League with a fine win at Gaudet Luce Golf Club.
Playing in difficult weather conditions, Bromsgrove accumulated a nett score of 260, seven strokes ahead of second place Brandhall and Harborne.
The Bromsgrove team comprised of: Darren Byng and Dean Tilley (5 under par = 65), Andy Diston and Gary Sanderson (3 under par = 67), Craig Boland and Clive Richards (11 under par = 59), Matt Smith and Disckie Banks (1 under = 69).
Bromsgrove Senior Ladies also recorded an away win at Gaudet Luce Golf Club, winning six and four.
The club's juniors took on the 17-24 team in a pre-season friendly, and maintained their 100 per cent record against all-comers after winning 379-35 in wet and windy conditions.
