SHOWTIME: Droitwich boxing star Alex Strutt is all set for his second professional fight, which takes place on Sunday.
ALEX Strutt is intent on making up for lost time when takes on Watford's Sherman Alleyne in his second professional fight.
The Droitwich boxer, known as the Sledgehammer', has not stepped into the ring since his debut success over Lance Verallo in September, after he suffered an elbow injury.
But the 25-year-old is raring to go when he makes his return on Sunday.
Strutt is appearing on a 19-fight professional and amateur bill at the famous Tower Ballroom in Edgbaston.
And with ticket sales going well, he is expected to have an army of supporters in his corner.
He said: "I am feeling very, very confident about getting in there.

"Ticket sales are going very well, which gives me and extra gee-up.
"There are a lot of people that are coming that couldn't afford it last time."
The four-round contest will take place at a catchweight between the 11 stone four pounds middleweight limit and the 12-stone super-middleweight division.
Strutt has been dividing his training time between Physique Fitness gym in Droitwich, and the Birmingham gym of his trainer, former world champion Richie Woodall.
After blowing Verallo away in just two rounds, the 25-year-old admits he is out to box a smarter fight this time around.
Strutt added: "People have seen that I can box in the amateurs.
"Last time out I wanted to make a bit of a statement.
"This time I want to show that I can be adaptable. I have got to be on my game.
"As long as I box smart and give him a bit of respect it will be a good little match. It is a good learning fight for me.
"If I want to go on and win titles I have to do my ground work and build up my knowledge."
Appearing alongside Strutt on the Pugilist Promotions bill, which features seven professional bouts and twelve amateur contests, will be hot Midlands prospects Sweet' D Mitchell and Eddie Braveheart' McIntosh, and Ireland's Joe Rea.
Tickets for the show cost £25 and are available by calling Strutt on 07723696378.
