NATHAN Lamey opened his league account for the season with a thunderbolt as Rovers picked up three points last night.
The striker unleashed an unstoppable shot on 69 minutes to seal victory for the Greens after player-coach John Snape had put them in the lead early in the second half.
Rovers failed to find their cutting edge in the first half, playing some attractive football but lacking penetration.

And it was the home side who had the better chances, with Mike Symons calling Rovers keeper Chris Taylor into action. Steve Cook brought down Josh Brigham's cross with his chest and laid off to Symons, who hit a low shot which Taylor turned around the post. Brigham also saw a wayward cross from the right hand side bounce off the cross bar.
Sam Alsop went closest for Rovers on the stroke of half time, stabbing wide from inside the area after Lucan Spittle knocked down Paul Lloyd's throw-in at the near post.
But Rovers emerged after the break on the front foot and on 48 minutes Snape rose unmarked to head home a Kevin Banner corner at the near post to open the scoring.
However, it was Lamey who stole the show with a brilliant second goal. Alsop hit a cross field pass from the left hand side which was collected by the forward.
Lamey controlled with his chest before hitting a venomous drive which flew past Danny Greaves and went in off the underside of the bar.
Clevedon's only second half chance fell to Chris Leek, who saw his bicycle kick from the edge of the box fly past the post.
