My name is Alex Read, and I'm currently a student on a NCTJ Journalism course at Warwickshire College. My major interests are football and music, with Southampton FC the team I have supported since being a boy. My favourite band are Arctic Monkeys, though I have an interest in other genres such as Punk and Ska.
Most youngsters are thought to not care about politics and what is happening in the country, but I take an active interest in what the government does and I form my own opinions on the issues that come up. I follow what is happening in the news, especially seeing as I aspire to be a journalist in my future career.
I look forward to writing on this blog, and hope my articles are helpful, interesting and above all entertaining.
