BROMSGROVE CC have been voted the the best best behaved side in Division One of the Birmingham and District Premier League for the third year running.

Mark Evenson’s men have won the award on votes cast by the umpires after each league game.

The spirit of cricket high on the ECB's agenda, so the St Godwalds-based side have sent out a clear message to the young players coming through the club.

The club’s vote of 19.65 was the highest out of all four divisions in the league by a considerable margin.

Bromsgrove also finished third in the league for marks given for both playing surface and outfield.

Across all divisions they finished above all Worcestershire clubs, including Kidderminster and Barnt Green in respect of playing surface.

Bromsgrove have recently had their annual award evening and among the winners were Bob Green and Tracy Husbands, who shared the club person of the year award for their endeavours against the elements with ground work and youth cricket.

The rookie of the year award given to 14-year-old Charlie Cordes.
