B team stretch their fine run

BROMSGROVE Ladies B continued their unbeaten run as they saw off Ombersley A 3-1.

Joan McGregor and Kelly Kenward saw off Ombersley’s first pair Carol Lewis and Cindy Lake 6-4, 6-1.

They then edged Angela Street and Jane Hobbs 7-5, 7-6.

Marie Hackett and Lucy Simper lost to Street and Hobbs 6-4, 6-2, before beating Lewis and Lake y 6-3-6-4.

In the annual Ladies club competition, the ever-improving juniors swept the board in the singles competitions.

Amy Foster was the singles winner in the A and B teams competition.

Another rising junior, Imogen Sinclair won the C, D and E teams singles against Sophie Cornelius. The duo then paired up to win the C, D and E doubles competition.

Ladies C saw off Bewdley 3-1 in the Winter League.

Stephanie Armstrong and junior player Beth Harris secured the win.
