Bromsgrove Tennis Club under-8s Adele Cornilous, Kalion Pavlova, Freya Lawton, Harry Giles, Isaac Bridge, Tom Round, Henry Bower and Patrick Niedwicz have excelled in the Hereford and Worcestershire under-8s league.

TWO teams from Bromsgrove Tennis Club maintained their strong records in the latest round of the Hereford and Worcestershire under-8s league.

There are six teams across the county and Bromsgrove are the only club that has entered two teams, the Boars and Bashers.

The other teams in the league include Stourport, Manor Park (Malvern), Barnt Green and Pershore.

Undefeated Bromsgrove Boars had a comprehensive 12-4 victory over Manor Park.

With only one match remaining against their club-mates the Bashers they are odds on favourites to win the league, which would be the fourth successive year Bromsgrove will have clinched the league.

Not to be outdone, Bashers who have won two and lost two, defeated Stourport 12-4.

Coach Richard Lawton said: “Once again our under-8s have excelled, and the results so far shows the depth we have at Bromsgrove Tennis Club at this age group.

“It was a great day for Bromsgrove and I am very proud of all the players that have taken part in this event and look forward to the final round in March.”
