BROMSGROVE maintained their excellent scoring run as they hammered Yardley 9-0 to rise to the top of West Midlands League Division Two.
With Ludlow losing 3-2 at West Bromwich, the Boars leapt over them to rise to the summit.
Andrew Langland bagged a hat-trick and George Adams scored twice, while Rammy Arafa, Bevan Edwards, Tom Jennings and Karl Troth all hit the back of the net.
Bromsgrove entertain Birmingham-based Newtown on Saturday.
Meanwhile, in Division One, cellar-dwellers Droitwich lost 4-2 at third-placed Kingswinford.
They take on mid-table Leamington at home this weekend.
Spa’s second team got the better of leaders Old Silhillians 5-1.
Luke Wicks opened the scoring, before Dexter Williamson added a second.
Some stoic defending kept the score 2-0 to half-time with a good debut performance by left-back Nick Bull.
Droitwich scored a third goal early in the second-half, with a brilliant effort from midfielder Adam James.
Old Sils pulled a goal back but Wicks and Matt Derby increased Spa’s lead and sealed a win which takes them off the bottom.
