DROITWICH Spa Rugby Club leapt back to third in the Midlands Division Two West (South) after a close-fought win over Banbury on Saturday.
Spa moved ahead of Worcestershire rivals Kidderminster Carolians as the battle for a top three finish hots up.
Tries from Russell Brown, James Shewell and Mark Strutt together with two conversions and a penalty from Ryan Handley were enough to secure the win.
Droitwich will be aiming to keep the pressure on their county opponents when they entertain Leamington on Saturday (3pm ko).
