Mander stunned by gr-eight win

BROMSGROVE Sporting joint boss Adie Mander admitted to still being in a state of disbelief this week after his side thrashed Stafford Town 8-0 to book their place in the FA Vase first round proper.
Mander said: “I couldn’t believe it, I’m still in dreamland — nobody could see this coming!
“We played Stafford Town at the end of last month in a Midland Combination match and beat them 3-1, but I knew they had a few players missing from that game.
“Since then, I think they’ve won five games and when they put us on the backfoot for the first few minutes, I thought we were in for a really tough game. But from our first attack, we had the ball cleared off the line and from that point there was no stopping us.
“Ricardo Richards put us 3-0 up with a hat-trick in eight minutes, but really he should have scored another two goals by then.
“Once they went down to 10 men, the result was never in doubt.”
Will Tibbetts also bagged a hat-trick in the game, while Matt Poyner and Jacob Snape completed the rout.
Sporting have now booked a trip to Hereford-based Midland Alliance side Westfields in the next round.
This Saturday, Sporting entertain top-of-the-table Bolehall Swifts in a Midland Combination match at the Victoria Ground .
However, the Rouslers will be missing Chris Gleadow who is suspended following his recent dismissal at Littleton.
