ROSS Baxter insists Bromsgrove have found ‘their identity’ as they head into a must-win clash at local rivals Luctonians.

The Boars will be trying to stop a four-match losing run in the National Two North and soothe their relegation fears on Saturday (2.15pm ko).

But Mortimer Park has not been a happy hunting ground for the Finstall Park outfit, and they have not won at the Herefordshire club in 15 years.

Luctonians are themselves in free-fall after a bright start to the season, with just one win in seven.

Baxter said: “We can’t worry about performance, the result is the most important thing.

“Our record at Luctonians is not great but they are also in poor form so we will be pushing hard.”

The head coach drew some positives from Bromsgrove’s 41-7 home loss to title-chasing Stourbridge.

He added: “We look more like ourselves and I think we have reasserted our identity in terms of performance.”
