DROITWICH took another step to securing their place in the Midlands Division Two West (South) in front of a big Vice-Presidents Day crowd on Saturday.
Droitwich’s much-improved survival run continued at the Memorial Ground with a hard fought win again Old Coventrians.
Spa are currently third from bottom, but a win at Old Leamingtonians next weekend would seal safety.
Bobby Scott-Walker opened the scoring with a penalty, before the visitors pulled a try back, but Scott-Walker added another penalty.
Alert skipper James Shewell crashed over on the stroke of half-time.
Hooker Rob Poke burrowed his way over out wide for a try, but Old Covs hit back.
Coach Rob Bray added: “We have given ourselves a lifeline and will do all we can to take it.”
