JUNIOR Morgan King has made a splash since joining Bromsgrove Swimming Club.
The 11-year-old has come a long way in the last year after impressive performances at the Worcester County Championships.
After being challenged by coach Edd Mansell, she recorded 12 qualifying times for the county championships.
Morgan, who attends Turves Green Girls School, will now be racing in the 100 metres and 200m front crawl in Coventry after qualifying for the Midlands Championships.
To illustrate her improvement, she set a time of one minute and 11.05 seconds in the 100m front crawl, dramatically improving on previous her time of 1-19.11.
l Meanwhile, Gary Wright won four races in the 45 to 49 age category at the Erith and District Swimming Club Masters on Sunday. He was first in the 200m individual medley, 50m and 100m front crawl and 100m medley.
Success was good preparation for the National Master Long Course Championships.
