DROITWICH chairman Andy Hine is urging the public to head down in their droves when the club’s doors are swung open on Saturday from 11am for the England Hockey National Club Open Day.
The day will feature small-sided games of rush hockey, taster sessions for adults and youngsters as well as a penalty flick competition.
Hine said: “We want to use the day to try and attract new members and get more people in the town interested in playing hockey; as we offer hockey for all ages. We’re offering people the chance for people to try the game for the first time.
“It gives us a chance to show people what our club does and what our facilities are like.”
The Ladies started the season with a 4-3 win over Barford Tigers.
Hannah Robson bagged a second-half brace to seal a topsy-turvy clash after Lucy Hine and Louise Warrilow had scored the first two goals.
